TMKOC's Sodhi aka Gurucharan Singh's condition worsens, reveals his friend: 'He wanted to take sanyas'

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Gurucharan Singh has been hospitalized, and his fans are hoping for his speedy recovery. Recently, the actor’s friend Bhakti Soni shared a concerning update on his health, revealing that he has stopped taking food and water. His family has also gone unreachable as they have switched off their phones. She also disclosed that the actor wanted to take sanyas(renounce the world).

Soni expressed her growing concern for Gurcharan Singh's health, revealing that she had been in touch with his mother for updates. Recalling the last update she received, she shared, "Unfortunately, his health has been deteriorating, and he was hospitalized twice. After his condition worsened again, he was readmitted to a government hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment,” she said in an interview with Times of India TV.

Soni further said that Gurucharan Singh went without food or water for 19 consecutive days, which led to him losing consciousness. He was rushed to the hospital, and after his return, he attempted to find work but was unsuccessful. She added that he felt desperate, and even considered renouncing worldly life and taking sanyas. She also revealed that Gurucharan’s financial struggles are substantial, with a staggering debt of Rs 1.2 crore. She also shared that he has been troubled by family issues, which have taken a toll on his mental well-being. "He had a debt of about Rs 1.2 crore. However, his father owns a property worth ₹55 crore. Unfortunately, there is an ongoing dispute as the tenants are not vacating the property. If the matter gets resolved and the property is sold, he should be able to clear his loan,” she added.

Gurucharan Singh had earlier posted a poignant video from his hospital bed, expressing his distressing health condition. Although he didn't disclose the reason behind his hospitalization, he mentioned that his health had severely deteriorated. "Haalat bahot zyada kharab ho gayi hai," he said, leaving his fans deeply concerned about his well-being. Gurucharan is best known for his iconic portrayal of Roshan Singh Sodhi in the popular television show.
